  • Expensive ingredients or superfoods are not the secret to good health, though they may add to that chip on your shoulder.
  • Being thin is not the same as being healthy. Complimenting someone because they look 'thin' is like thanking the colour black for not being white. It's senseless.
  • The weighing scale is an inanimate object that provides a measurement, just like a money counter or a ruler. It is one of the many ways to track progress, but does not deserve your emotion.
  • Getting stronger is far better than getting slimmer. Think about lifting your luggage at Baggage Claim. Which one would you rather be?
  • Diet does not equal deprivation. Just like everything else in life, it has to be well balanced.
  • Fitness is not a 'one size fits all' concept. You can eat home-cooked meals and achieve your goals. But you can also eat sponge cake and biscuits to get there. Although we don't recommend you try!
  • Your body is food agnostic. It only obeys the laws of thermodynamics and does not care whether your cookie is ethically sourced.
